Period leaks to one side after stitches

This is such an annoying thing, although I don't heavily bleed when on my period, I tend to leak towards the right side. Which dirties my nickers and sometimes my clothes!
I had my first boy 7 years ago with an epidural and as a result had stitches. The stitches healed and didn't notice a major difference after that.
I had my second boy 4 years ago, with a quick and natural delivery and with no stitches. But after this I noticed the leaking towards one side more so. I believe the stitching was not 'aligned' properly.
Can anyone shed any light on this and what I could do. Thanks Blush

I had, and still have, this, since DS's birth. He's nearly 5. I had a massive tear backwards and upwards into my vagina, which was actually resected and restitched when he was a year old, but that didn't help much. I believe the leaking occurs because tearing leaves scar tissue, which is stiff and unyielding compared to regular vaginal tissue which molds around a tampon. So blood leaks past.
It's crap. Makes periods a misery.

Can you go see a pelvic floor physio and get the scar tissue worked on? That's what helped me a bit.

Do you leak with a tampon or just towels? Maybe just use tampons & use a winged towel which might help with any side leakage.
If it bothers you then see your Dr for a gynae referral to see if they can check that area incase there is anything that can be done.
