Ds is 3.3 and hasn't had a sleep in the day since before xmas.
However he has been ill with temp, cough and cold since Sat and although his temp has finally gone he still seems so exhausted.

He had a really long sleep yesterday afternoon/evening, for about 3 hours, and today he fell asleep in his buggy about 1.30, woke up about half an hour ago and has now dropped off again on the sofa.

I know it's doing him good but just wanted reasuring really.

Sounds quite normal. as long as you can rouse him and he's ok in other respects let him sleep his body is mending itself this way. HTH Smile

Thanks, yeah he can be roused although isn't generally happy about it Grin

I think there's a lot of this temperature virus doing the rounds at the mo. ds1 (4 1/2) had it last wk, suddenly got v. high temp which lasted for about 4 days, slept most of the days, even after temp has gone he's still sleeping a lot more, i.e. normally sleeps for about 9hrs at night, but sleeping 12 hours, plus a nap in daytime. As long as he's otherwise well I don't think you should worry too much.

Have woken him now and he seems fine apart from his cough.

I'm trying to persuade him to have some toast or something but he's not interested.
