I have thrush AGAIN, it's driving me insane. Been to the doctors but they don't really do anything. Normally it's caused by washing powder, shower gels etc.. so I use all sensitive stuff but I do not know what's caused it this time...I'm pregnant is that the cause?

Anyway, what are your top tips for getting rid of it, apart from the normal creams etc...

you can be more prone to thrush when pregnant. You can use the internal pessaries when pregnant but you may wish to insert with a finger rather than the applicator. You shoudnt use the oral tablet when pregnant

Thanks Dish I think I read somewhere that you need to wash bedding, knickers, towels at 60 to help kill it...does anyone know if that's right?

I have been troubled thrush on and off for years. I've recently been taking the probiotic tablets from holland and barrett, quite a high dose in them(more than the probiotic in multivitamin type tablets)
I haven't had any problems for over three months now, finger crossed. I t.ried all the hot washing etc, but for me it is def more to do with the probitotics and sensitive wash

Thanks moom It's horrid isn't it? Mines always been caused by changing washing powder or shower gels but I may try the probiotics as well...are they safe in pregnancy?

Wonder what saripan said!
