There's also a natural alternative called teetha available from most chemists. It's a powder sachet and you just pour into their mouth. Have reverted to this as felt i had calpol and mediced out every day. mediced does work tho...

Nelson's Teetha are fab. It's a homeopathic powder and mainly chamomile I think. Makes the lo really chilled out.
Helps them to settle for naps too.

ashton powders is the stuff you pour on their tongue. you get it in boots. the pharmacist swore by it and i have used it to reasonably good effect. medised also and i like bonjela but many think it is useless.

hi, glad i've just found this as dd is having terrible problems with teething at the moment, and i'm not happy about continually doling out the calpol or baby neurofen. i do personally find bonjela/calpol teething gel useless, although it is useful in distracting them for a moment, but only a moment.

another vote for Ashtons teething powders - unlike the other medications, they can be given every hour if baby is really bad - they worked like a charm for me.
