Im taking Co-codamol (as a dose), Diclomax (twice a day), and anti-d's (escitalopram, once a day).
Im hoping to go on holiday may bank holiday, and dont know if I can drink?
Is it best to have a week off the tablets?

Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
Jo

I'd ask the pharmacist, cocodamol makes you drowsy so would not be adviseable on thagt score alone methinks...

no you can't and tbh I would think it ill advised to give up taking ads for a week

jofeb04 · 11/04/2006 16:30

thx for that. TBH, its what I thought, just didnt want it to be true!!

sorry I read that back and it sounds very abrupt Blush

it wasn't intentional, you will have to try and think of other treats to have..are you going somewhere special?

spacecadet · 11/04/2006 16:35

no its not a good idea to mix alcohol with those tablets especially painkillers and ads, also if you top taking your ads for a week, yoyu will suffer some unpleasant withdrawel symptoms which will probaly put a dampener on your holiday.

apologies for chronic typos.

jofeb04 · 11/04/2006 16:38

I didnt think u were being abrupt anyway!!

DH is taken me away for a week, inlaws have got the kids, only a holiday park down Devon somewhere i think. Its our 3rd wedding anniversery.
Prefer not to drink though then put up with other probs!

I'm sure it will do you good, fingers crossed for nice weather..do you like walking?Lots of fantastic scenery.

jofeb04 · 11/04/2006 16:41

I normally love walking, swimming etc. But Im still suffering with SPD, and major probs with my back muscles etc. Hence why im on anti-d's!! Ive had it for a year now so lookin forward to the break.
