I had DC 4 months ago and had bad SPD when preggo. My hips are now fine but my knees and ankles are regularly v sore. I'm not going to the gym / running, it's just from normal life.

Is there any point in going to the Doc or will he just say it's relaxin post pregnancy and will improve in time?

Has anyone else been able to do anything about similar pains?

I had this after dd, took a while to settle down but it did completely resolve itself

Yes, I had this after having DD (but was fine after DS) I felt like I had aged about 40 years! Everything eventually went all back to normal but it took about a year.

I had it with my knees, ankles and jaw, knees and ankles got better after about 6 months and jaw took a year but it is finally back to normal.

Hi there

Yes I had this too, especially when walking up and down stairs, I felt really unsteady. Went to Drs, was completely pregnancy related (joints all soften so that baby can be born easier or something?!?!) and all went back to normal after a while.

I had this too, for about a year. Someone told me it could have been a zinc deficiency, although that was after I had recovered, so I wasn't able to test the theory out. Could be worth trying some supplements.

I had this and it turned out to be a pregnancy related Thyroid issue - it went after a year without needing treatment. But if it is thyroid related you need annual checkups to make sure there's no ongoing issues - simple blood test will rule it in or out but I'm not sure how you get the doc to do that, mine was found by accident!
