Any migraine sufferers out there?

I had the headache from hell yesterday - started in the middle of a big family lunch for my FIL 80th, having loads of fun, suddenly felt really rough. Headache developed a couple of hours later - I get a lot of sinusitis and this was pounding headache all over the eyes, front of face, etc. Wanted to curl up in bed - paracetamol and ibuprofen had no effect whatsoever. I get the occasiional migraine, maybe once a year, but have never before had slurred speech, felt like I was drunk, and also balance issues - bumped into the wall a couple of times on the way to bed. Is that common in migraine? Or have I just got hideous bout of sinusitis starting yet again (will be the third this winter). Today feel very washed out and face is tender, but pounding head has abated. Was just a little concerned about the balance and speech - DS1 had an aneurysm rupture 18 months ago, and I guess I'm a bit paranoid about odd headaches!

I get migraines and take daily medication. I've occasionally had the symptoms you describe.

I'd advise you to go and have a chat with your GP though - you're obviously concerned and sometimes it's useful to build up a picture of symptoms in this way.

An anti histamine with an ibuprofen helps

Thanks. Saw GP in the end as clearly settling into nasty sinisitis yet again, whole face hurts, feels like someone tightening corkscrew behind eyes, nose, cheeks. More anitbiotics and a nasal spray. Seem to get this every couple of months, v annoying.
