what could this pain be?

Ive had a pain in my abdomen for a few days now, its just above where my knickers sit on the left hand side

It comes and goes and is more like a dull ache, a bit like period pain/discomfort, but when i cough or shout it feels like something is pulling and it hurts.

Any ideas what it could be?

Definitely get it checked out.

VitoCorleone · 10/12/2012 20:49

Its stopped on the left hand side now and moved over to the right?

Also kinda makes me feel like i need to have a wee?

Could also be cystitis.

Conflugenglugen · 10/12/2012 20:58

I get cystitis quite often and I get that pulling - quite a hard yank - if I cough or laugh or shout; and the pain will move from side to side because it will be affecting various lymph nodes.

VitoCorleone · 10/12/2012 22:09

Wouldnt it sting when i pee if it was cystitis? Or can you get it without the stinging pee part?

I presume it isnt because you may have different knickers on to usual?

VitoCorleone · 10/12/2012 23:13

No same type knickers i always wear, nothing new.

Its getting to be just like twinges now and then, weird

Cystitis doesn't have to sting, no. I am flummoxed as to why you'd post here, expressing your confusion, and not get it checked out at the docs. If it is cystitis, the longer you leave it, the more you open yourself to a serious kidney infection.

VitoCorleone · 11/12/2012 22:55

Cant get into the docs until Thursday, thats why.
