Had my thyroid function tested a couple if weeks ago. Didn't hear anything which I took to be a good sign. However when I was collected a prescription the other day, I thought I would just ask for the details. The reading the receptionist gave me was '2.4' - and although the GP had viewed the results, nothing had been put in as a comment (previous test results had 'satisfactory' by them, for example). Intrigued, I performed the cardinal sin of test results and Googled (yes...I know...
...) and the hits that showed up suggest that this result could indicate a problem. Should I go back to the GP and risk looking daft for Googling and believing the online information? Or should I sit tight and assume that 'no news is good news'...?? MPD
