Did it hurt?

How did you feel after?

Did it really stop/diminish your periods?

No

Brilliant - no more cramps/dragging feeling/flooding

Stopped completely - nearly 12 months now

Best thing I ever had done :)

Had one yesterday, was groggy after the GA but allowed home 4 hours later. I'm a bit sore but keeping topped up on painkillers and spending the day in bed.

I think I need one. I am having another spectacular period where I am in a lot of pain and can't leave the house for flooding. I'm nearly 51.

How much time would I need off work?

LineRunnerWithBellsOn · 07/12/2012 13:24

Oh, and get well soon, COsmos. Are you watching bad TV?

I'm going to be needing a prolapse repair and was contemplating asking the surgeon if I could have an ablation say the same time. While he's in there, so to speak. :)
They can't fix my prolapse via hysterectomy, and my periods are rather rotten.
Cosmos, how are you feeling today?
