help, dd1 now has earache, what can i do to help relieve the pain?

have given her calpol, anything else i can do?

Nurofen.

Sometimes a warm flannel against the ear can help.

Earache is awful. Hope she's better soon.

my mum used to do a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel for my to lie on when i was a kid. You could try that ?

Ibuprofen/nurofen as well, drizel some olive oil on the back of a warmed teaspoon into the ear while she is lying on her side. and get her to massage the back of the ear.
how old is she?

My mum used to blow very very gently in my ear which I loved tried it with DD and she hated it so much she head butted me.

oh yes Chapsmum - my friend puts warm olive oil on cotton wool just into her kids ear to help .

my dd used to like the hairdryer on a very low setting to ease the pain.

she is now asleep now, but if she coughs in her sleep i hear a small 'ow' as well. am taking her to the GP in the morning. havent got any olive oil, anything else that may work?

Almond oil? what oil have you got? tried the neurofen?

she fell asleep after the calpol, i do have a heat pad thingy, will go reset it so she can use it if she wakes in pain.
