have called the GP for advice. she seems well enough. i had it when i was about 10, and apart from the rash had no other symptoms.

Gp doesnt seem concerned. says to bring her down in the morning if we want to. may do if the rash is still there. its quite dense, on her face legs and arms only.

my mom had it when she was 17 and it made her wicked ill! i think it's worse as you get older.

edam · 08/04/2006 22:16

Don't forget to keep her away from places where she could infect pregnant women. But as far as I can remember, didn't make me feel ill at all. Just a week off school to enjoy myself!

I had it when I was same age as DD2. My mum said I was poorly but not massively so. Just slept lots.
Hope she feels better soon!

i know. we are awful. i am giving the kids extra vits in an attempt to keep them well. it makes me angry when we turn up the school/pre-school and there are kids who should be at home with coughs and colds being sent in. cos i know my kids will get it then Sad

maybe your cousin has had her immunity checked? They usually do it when you get pregnant. Hopefully she'll be immune.

misdee · 09/04/2006 10:05
