Hi tutter I did my training with the st john ambulance, \link{http://www.sja.org.uk/training\here is a link to see if they have any courses in your area}

I needed to do this as I am a childminder and found it very good.

Can't recommend a person or organisation but would recommend doing one. I felt really prepared after mine, it was fab.

I did one in january, it was run by sure start and it was free, you could check out if sure start if your area is doing it?
The acutal company that provided the training was called first responders.

local secondary schools quite often run them as an evening class.

I did one, it was offered by the the group that organises a program for continuing education for adults, class full of childminders and nursery nurses. I'm sure there should be one near to you.
