We all slept in one bed last night, children are ill so needed extra tlc! But that has resulted in me sleeping awkwardly and I've had a really stiff neck all day!

Does anyone know of any quick fixes, I've tried hot waterbOttlebut didn't do much! I've two vomitting children and dy's family on their way for a weekend, movement would be great! Angry

Not a miracle cure but I used (with a recent cricked neck) a heated wheat bag ( the sort you warm in the microwave) tucked around my neck like a scarf, which helped a little. That and anti-inflammatories (eg ibuprophen if not allergic). But the thing that really helped was a visit to the chiropractor (£s) a couple of days later.
Hope you are better soon and the children bounce back to health quickly.

Thanks! Don't have a heat pad but trying hot water bottle and hinting or a massage from dh! Hmm such a pain!

Try wearing a scarf - sounds daft but the warmth really does help. Or rub in deep heat or vicks or something similar. Warm baths are good but I guess you don't have free time today. And take some painkillers (ibuprofen better than paracetamol for muscular stuff)
Poor you.

Syndol (for stress headaches) really help to relax the muscles in your neck. Just have one to start with, they're quite 'relaxing'!

Aw thanks ladies, it's feeling a little better already, although the cr looks a bit confused as to why I'm in bed with a snood on Grin
