For a few weeks iv had a random pain occur with no warning. On my right hand side, about halfway down so just below the bottom edge of your bra? What organ is there? Its been particularly bad this evening. Iv been needing to wee more often so suddenly thought maybe UTI but thats too high for kidneys isnt it? Plus its only on that side. I dont have any other symptoms, no fever etc. Dont want to hassle a gp if they are likely to say its muscular?

When I've had kidney scans in the past, one of the kidneys is higher than the other, and where my robs are, on my right side it was by there. So could well be kidneys.
The pain there may or not be related to weeing more. You still could have a uti,

Gall stones Sad

The liver is by there too.

like you said it could also be muscular.

Afraid I'll have to agree with the gallbladder possibility! I thought my pain was muscular too at first. It wasn't. Please get it checked out - you really do not want to let it get to critical stage. Good luck!

would i not have more symptoms for any of the mentioned above? Right now im fine, havent had the pain at all today. It comes and goes. Yesterday when it was at its worse was whilst i was cooking dinner. Then wore off as the evening went on?

My huisband had liver cancer, and was told by several DRs that the liver has no pain nerves.
Before it was diagnosed, I was with DH when GP examined his liver and noticed he felt around below the ribcage on that side
Doubt it is your liver.

I've just had my gall-bladder out - and think I've had the symptoms for over 20 years and put it down to 'stress'.

If you lie down and feel around the base of your ribs at the front with the flat of your hand and it hurts - that's how mine was diagnosed. Mine just felt as if I had a too-tight belt around there, and thinking it was stress, I put it to the back of my mind........

I've got some lovely stones in a little bottle now - each one is just a little smaller than a Thornton's truffle. I was given 3 and they were quite a few more.

I also found that if I was lying down on my right side, and lifted myself up on my elbow, I had a pain on the right hand side of my back - I thought I'd hurt my back. I hadn't.

So, I'd go and see your GP if I were you. Untreated it can develop into pancreatitis, which isn't nice at all - my bil had it.
