Period query - warning tmi

Is it normal that after I've cycled to or from work when I'm on, that the blood I lose is bright red? Even if its towards the end of my period when it's usually a bit darker and browner (sorry!) after a cycle ride its bright red again.

Anyone?

Could it be that the effort of cycling has an effect on any uterine contractions and so speeds up the 'travel' of the blood you are losing - hence the bright red. If the blood hangs around a bit, or drips slowly, it will be brown as it isn't quite as 'fresh' iyswim.
