More bad news for my sister

jenk1 · 06/04/2006 17:29

Took a phonecall again for my sister this morning from St Marys in Manchester.

The nurse said "Its really important that your sister contacts me, i dont want to frighten her but we need her to come in straightaway"

We took her up to the hospital and it turns out that she has a blood clot in her pelvis and they are giving her injections every 24 hours to try and thin her blood out.
They are keeping her in.

She,s very worried as are we all Sad

sending love an best wishes to you all.

I don't know the full story, however after my labour I was diagnosed with a heart condition and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse I was also told that I had a blood clot on my heart. I know how you are all feeling and it's a really scary time, but hang in there these things can really improve with medication.

madamechocolat · 06/04/2006 17:46

hope all is well x

jenk1 · 06/04/2006 19:55

thanks for the supportive messages, they are keeping her in for the next couple of days to monitor her.

We will be visiting her tomorrow and hopefully will know more then, in light of this latest development we were wondering if they would bring the date of her operation forward.

Oh Jenk. You know where I am if you need me. Sad

jenk1 · 07/04/2006 20:36

Well, they have sent her home tonight after making her wait since yesterday morning for an injection. Shock

She got home about an hour ago, she has DVT and has been signed off work.
They have told her that its the pressure of the growth on her veins thats caused it.

Poor thing, whatever next?
