Bloody discharge - TMI warning

I keep feeling like I need a wee all the time and have just discovered EWCM with quite a bit of blood in it. Other and that feel fine!

I googled a bit an both of those symptoms seem to relate to a cervical infection - but I'm not having sex with DP at the moment (whole nother thread). Only partner for over 10 years. No infidelity (on my side and I'm pretty sure on his). Smear a year or so ago.

Has anyone ever had this before. Really dont want to go to Drs. Hate internals exams...

I believe ovulation can produce blood in the egg white mucus....when the follicle that produces the egg bursts you can get a tiny bleed.

Sometimes these bleeds can be quite large - sometimes my ewcm can be bright pink in colouration, although it varies from month to month.

I have no real PMS symptoms to speak of (lucky I know) but I always know when I'm ovulating due to abdominal discomfort and needing to urinate around that time.

Never had that before Cailleach - hope that's what it is. I don't get PMS either but do feel wierd and bloaty at ov time. Do you get it every month if you dont mind me asking?

Most months I get wind, bloating and abdominal discomfort around ov - more so if I'm ovulating from the left hand side for some reason; yes, I can actually tell which side is handling the egg production this month!

I had a uterine scan ages ago and was told that my left ovary was in a really odd position - took the nurse ages to find it and it wasn't where it should be. No idea if that's something to do with the pain I get - who knows.

Only see the bleeds occasionally though - usually my ewcm is clear. Honestly I think if you had cystitis you would know - it's so damn painful when I've had it and I always feel ill generally at the same time: hot and feverish and shivery.

If it does turn out to be a UTI get yourself to the GP pronto as those things can get nasty really fast. Hope you feel better soon...

Thanks for your comments. Went to Drs this morning. No UTI - but sent off anyway. Dr had look at cervix and took some swobs. Said I was bleeding there. Is going to test for infections (although if I have any it will be DP being unfaithful!!). Told me if I don't hear back to keep an eye on it. She did say you can bleed during ovulation though. Never heard of before but is normal. Hopefully just that. Thanks.
