It's monday, what should I expect?

I had stitches (was cut & tore), epidural, and also Joey had the cap thingy on his head.

will he do an internal? am expecting some poking/prodding - will bloods be done again?

they feel your tummy, take a look at your stitches and do a small internal to check everything is back in place.

If you've stopped bleeding they may do a smear test too, but only if you are due one.

ooh yes I forgot that one :( - i'm over due, I was 8 weeks PG when it became due.

My dr wouldn't do a smear as said they are unreliable until at least 12 weeks after birth. I had an internal but no-one else I know has ever had one. Go prepared and then it will be a nice surprise if you get off with out one!

I have just had mine, not sure if it is just my area or not but they no longer do an internal unless you request one/have problems with your stitches. My gp didn't even have a feel of my tummy, she just advised of exercises and discussed contraception.
