I've been having odd feelings in my throat for a couple of weeks. Hard to describe, but kind of fluttery. Hasn't gone, so will go to the GP, but am I right in thinking it's probably Thyroid related?

Have a look on the Patientuk website regarding thyroid disorders (under or overactive). You can see all the symptoms. I found it really informative (have overactive thyroid).

Do you have other symptoms My dp has this and it comes and goes but I think thyroid but just as he is going to go to GP it stops and he puts it off!

Bit hard to say Noddy, as I'm on a drug called Tamoxifen to (hopefully!) stop breast cancer recurrence. That gives you all manner of aches and pains, so it's hard to say if they're due to that or due to something else like Thyroid. Fluttering comes and goes with me too. Most confusing.. Hope your DP is okay.

I have an enlarged thryroid, called a goitre, but don't get any fluttery feeling, except before I was diagnosed I got palpitations and the shakes. The symptoms of hypo and hyper can be similar, the fatigue and tiredness.

Thanks Gerbil. It's weird, as it just feels odd. Have a GP appt soon, so will see what they say.
