Dd has chickenpox - will the baby get it too?

I posted this on the chickenpox club earlier so apologioes for repeat. Dd woke up spotty on Saturday morning and now looks like she has bubonic plague. Sad My two boys don't seem to have anything - ds1 has not had CP yet despite being exposed to infected children repeatedly, I'm hoping he will just get it now and then it's done. Does anyone know whether ds2 might get it - he is nearly 8 months old and still partially breastfed, just morning and night. Will he still have any immunity, or should I expect a spotty baby too? Anything I should know about babies under one with chickenpox?

He could get it - I think any protection from BF-ing is only really when littler & exclusively bfed.

I don't htink there would be any extra problems with a 8 month old.

Get DS1 and DD to share a banana or use the same spoon for yoghurt if you're feeling Cruel and Evil

Thanks Soupy. Yes, I think ds1 and dd will be having their usual bath together tonight. Grin They've been playing with each other all morning and most of yesterday so really, he would have to have a spectacular immune system not to get it.
