i have been ill since thursday. high temps, shivering, cough cold and woke up this morning with bad ear ache. have seen doc who has perscribed antibiotics as my ears are badly infected. obviously not going in when still feeling bad, but am wondering if i am syptomless mid week can i go in? or do i wait til the course is finished to be safe? i will be visiting a ward with patients pre/post transplant with compromised immune systems.

All depends on whether you are infectious my dear. They may not be able to 'catch' whatever you have.
Hows life otherwise? Ds has chickenpox and I already have cabin fever!!Grin

I would wait until you finish the course as immunocompromised patients can catch everything!and really easily too even if others are not too ill with whatever it is.xx

Yup. He is covered in white dots now!! He hates it. HA HA HA HA!! cruel mummy!!
While you may be symptomless(?) you could still be infectious and may not be a good idea to go in and make everyone else ill.
Could you ring the ward and ask their opinion?
