Cervical cancer...scared.

I have had lots of gynae issues since the birth of my youngest son who just turned 4.
Have struggled to find a method of contraception that suits me (tried depo, cerazette and the mirena with no luck) so ATM we are using condoms.
Back in may I was anaemic due to heavy bleeding and had an ultrasound scan and endometrial biopsy and both were fine. Had mirena in after much pressure from doc.
Had the mirena out 2.5 weeks ago as after 6 months of constant spotting/discharge.
Yesterday - after sex sorry if tmi - I bled.
It's now brown.
I have had back pain for weeks, bad at times. Am also very tired.
Have googled - I know, I know! - and am now convinced I have cervical cancer.
Will make appt on Monday with doc for a smear ( not due til spring next year and they have always been clear) but just need someone to tell me I am being an idiot :(
I know I have cervical erosion...could that be it?
Am scared :(

It mostly takes years for cervical cancer to develop from abnormal cells into cancer, please don't worry yourself unnecessarily. I had stage 3 pre-cancerous cells in my cervix and was told it would have taken a few years to get to that stage and they were cut out, 95% of women only need this treatment once.

Have you had your hormone levels checked? I haven't had the mirena but I wonder whether that's why you're getting the issues? A friend of mine had the injection and bled constantly for 3 months.

Please don't be scared! Definitely go for your smear to put your mind at rest.

Don't be hard on yourself. I know how rubbish it is! After I had my dd 4 years ago I had bleeding between periods, was exhausted, had back pain and pain radiating down my legs and I was convinced that was it for me! It all worked out fine and I'm pregnant now and have to go for another smear after I have the baby.

I'm sure stress, worrying and lack of sleep contributed to all of my problems. I also think I was living on adrenaline a lot and worrying about everything and everyone else before myself. Do you do that too?

There are different types of cervical cancer, as with all cancers.
Mine was abnormal cells once but was not informed to go back until 18 months later, when it was already Insitu , Displasia grade 4. It was also called precancerous, which is misleading. Can't remember , as long time ago, if the word " erosion" was mentioned, but do remember it being looked at and being told it was all black and needed quarterising.
Had a biopsy first, and confirmed as Carcinoma Insitu in the rim, then had a " cone biopsy", to take the rim away and go further in to see how far it had developed. All went well, that was in 1982.

Ps. I had no symptoms, but my DD was 18 year-old
