I read in a mag that ringing out a sheet and wrapping yourself in it then covering yourself in a blanket helps?

I'll double check though as I still have the mag I think?

put a cool wet cloth on your forehead and back of your neck, drink lots of cool (not cold) fluids.

If it still doesn't come down then have a tepid (not cold) bath and let yourself air dry.

Lie in a tepid bath for as long s you can bear it even if you are shivering.

cloths soaked in tepid water round your lower legs.
Fever remedy commonly used over here. dh did it for me when I had a nasty fever once and it did help.
