Poor her broke out in a rash over night... went to hospital as she didn't think it would be cp as she's had them before.. oh she was soooooo wrong!

DD had it a few weeks ago and I think I'm spotting a few spots on ds! Though they're so far all around his neck and might be from wearing a wooley jumper... time will tell... so hoping he has it so it's out of the way ;)

Any tips I can pass on to my nanny on what to do not to feel too miserable?

You could put milk in the bath as well as using calamine lotion and i wonder if a anti histermine tablet will work. Sure someone will be along soon. I would try it to stop the itches

My dh had cp a couple of years ago, it can be quite nasty in an adult. A good tip (that I got from MN) was oatmeal wrapped in muslin and either floating a warm bath or suspended under the taps while the bath is running is very soothing to skin. Paracetamol helped to reduce the itching for my dh.

:) cheers... so basically what I did for dd. Did oatmeal in an old sock and it really softens the skin :). I'll tell her about the anti histamine stuff. DD was on piriton syrup so guessing that will work on grown ups too?

Yes it will she might need a higher dose if you get the one a day she obviously onlys has to take one but if she finds that she is itchier one part of the day she might be better on one every four hours (the chemist can tell you which ones) and some have sleepers in it to help her sleep.
