My mouth has split a few times in the last few months on the right hand side.

Its literally just healed and now my left side has done it too.

Its sore and scabs and looks awful. DH is calling me the joker. lol

how can i stop it happening?

It can be a sign of vitamin B deficiency. It'll clear up in a couple of days if that's the cause, so try some tablets.

this sounds like thrush. I get it in the corners of my mouth, especially when I am breastfeeding for some reason.

Daktarin usually sorts it out.

My other side split again, I haven't been to the GP,

but bought some 1% canesten and put it on the corners of my lips last night,

Its sooo much better this morning,

Do you think thats enough or should I go to the GP anyways ... will treating the corners alone with cream be enough or might I need an oral tablet?

Angular Chelitis? I second B12, Iron and folic acid. My iron level was 4

i get that every now and again.

It happens if I have had a few days of a really bad diet, no veggies, too much booze and crisps. Which points towards some kind of vit deficiency - but how that can occur after only a few days is weird.

My diet is shit, I'm adressing it though.
