Anyone had root canal treatment?

Can/should I take paracetamol beforehand?

I had root canal a couple of years ago and was dreading it...dreaded going to the dentist in general!

It was absolutely fine...didn't feel a thing. The worst part was my jaw was tired holding it open...nothing major.

Afterwards it wasn't painful as I had expected just a dull ache when i put pressure on that tooth which left quite quickly. I didn't even need paracetamol.

The thought of it was far worse.

The worst bit is really the numbing injection at the start, but you get that over with quickly. I bloody hate those. Once that's kicked in, though, it's uncomfortable rather than anything else - just zone out and think about Christmas shopping or something.
