Trimethoprim...how to take?

No advice on pack, no advice in web.
Do you take it with food or in an empty stomach?
Ben dx with a kidney infection this morning and am on 2 x 200mg per day.

Doesn't really matter for trimethoprim. Just space them roughly equally, so 8am and 8pm for example. They generally work really quickly for UTI so hopefully you will feel better soon.

Get yourself some yakult/activia/whatever too. They are pretty strong Antibiotics so will clear your infection, but also kill off a lot of your benign gut flora. Replenish your stocks and thus avoid catching anything else nasty while you're recovering! Feel better soon....

Have a feeling that you need to totally avoid alcohol too.
