S.I.L in hospital almost 2 weeks, still no idea whats wrong?

im getting her dd today as she's not taking too well to visiting her mum in hosp.

sil told she had gastric flu, sent home from doc...a week later went back only to be told to go straight to hosp as it seemed it was blocked ovary or bowel prob..kept in for three nights, bloods taken, scans done..shaky conclusion..infection 'somewhere', gave anti biotics and sent home..took back in very next day, still the same, throwing up, cant eat, dizzy and in horrendous pain in stomache.
is on an anti biotic drip, morphine and various other pills and potions, but still no idea what wrong and she can still feel terrible pain thropugh morphine!
having a cat scan today, but am very worried about her..any one had similar symtons

EvesMama - I've had a twisted/blocked bowel which presents very much that way. I'm prone to problems due to scar tissue from previous stomach surgery (adhesions). Sometimes it settles by itself - sometimes not and I've had to have surgery to sort it.

Hope you poor SIL is sorted out soon.

well hopefully the cat scan will show more today, but they have apparently checked her bowel??saying that they actually did two lots of the same blood tests, so someones messed up somewhere.
she must be in so much pain tho cos i know i couldnt not want to see my dd!

found out that sil has cyst on her ovary which is leaking!..all her internal organs are inflamed massivly and she cant eat or drink anything until next wednesday(is hooked up to intravenus drips)and if the inflammation has gone down, they will then have to operate to remove if poss!!
