my dd2 is 5 months and has a small patch of cradle cap, I heard that olive oil is good to get rid of it. Anyone tried it?

I used olive oil for cradle cap when my ds was a baby; found it quite effective and of course natural which is especially important when the are so small.

how did you do it. I put it on before she goes to bed and wash it off in the morn. How long does it take till you see a result?

I just rubbed it in gently whilst breast feeding... never specifically washed it off (just when I next washed his hair). Results not miraculous, but I did feel it helped gradually... it's 10 years ago now so I can't remember that well! :)
Good luck... and don't worry, it's not harmful.

olive oil is fantastic. rubbed some warm olive oil on the cradle cap when my dd had it at 2 months, massage it for ages until all the flaky skin is loose then wipe it off with cotton wool. keep doing it til you get all the flaky bits off and do it every time over the next few days you see it coming back and it'll clear it right up.

good luck Smile
