Constant headaches in a six year old

My six year old has had a headache for 4 days. No sign of a cold or infection though she seems a bit washed out and pale...
Doctors don't have an appt till Monday.. wondering how normal this is or should I be worried?
She says the headache is on the top of her head, in that typical non-specific six year old way!

there's a nasty bug going round here & all the kids have complained about bad headaches. Also has (in varying degrees) temperatures and tummy pains. One girls was so bad she ended up being checked for meningitis (wasn't luckily). I'd keep the appointment for Monday but you may find it has run its course by then. we were just told to keep with the calpol/nurofen.

That's reassuring... thought it might be a virus because of her washed out look... but yes I will keep dr's appt on Monday

DS1 has been very ill with a fluey virus, with headaches, fever and spinning head. DS2 hasn't seemed ill but has complained of headaches a couple of times. Could be a virus. If it goes on for much longer, though, I'd get it checked out.
