Is it poss to overfill a cavity? Had a filling on Monday and when I bite together I can feel a ridge and it kind of feels funny and gets in the way when I chew. Should I go back

Not a dentist but I had trouble with an over high crown.It had to be thinned down a little and checked with the tinted paper.
