I thought it was thrush - but worms???

I've been unsuccessfully trying to treat myself for thrush for the past 3 weeks. Very itchy fanjo to the point where I've made myself sore.
Went to doc yesterday and she prescribed me something for BV.

However I've just had a poo and noticed blood on the bogroll (not unusual as I have a fissure) but - squirming around in the blood was a threadworm.

Sick to death of my shit health recently, it's one thing after another. So should I assume the itching has been caused by worms getting into the vagina?? hence the thrush cream having no effect.

And where have I got it from?? I have no pets and have been near no babies or little kids.
