BettySpaghetti · 22/03/2006 21:36

You have my sympathy -I'm hovering on the verge of getting something at the mo and thats bad enough. Dose yourself up and go to bed with a hot toddy Smile

waterfalls · 22/03/2006 21:37

Any of this sound familiar ?Grin

I have that viral thing that everyone has had.

Hot, cold, exhausted, cough, cold, dodgy tummy despite not eating very much.

I was lucky DH was off with it too, he was two days ahead of me, so was able to help with the school runs, which left me free to sleep 13 hours a night, then get up see DS out the door with DH and then go back to bed and sleep for another 6 hours or more.

Oh now I am congested and my cough is getting worse. Happy Days.

starlover · 22/03/2006 21:39

only thinking chest infection because you said you can't catch your breath... get theeself to the doctor... just in case!

waterfalls · 22/03/2006 21:40

There's a really bad cold virus going around here - both my parents have had it for about a week (both say they've never felt so bad with a cold before) and poor dd2 (12mths) has also had it for a week - took her to the GP this morning and there's no infection anywhere, it's just a very severe virus.

waterfalls · 22/03/2006 21:41

starlover
I wil see how I go for the next couple of days, if no improvment I will see the GP, thanksSmile

i see we shall have to cajole her into going. i was her fanny monitor. i shall take it upon myself to see she gets to the GP!

waterfalls, get this sorted BEFORE the weekend!

methinks you may have an infection if you are experiencing difficulty breathing.

LadySherlockofLGJ · 22/03/2006 21:44

I am going to see the GP tomorrow, AB's are called for at this stage.

I have had to have a hot bath in the middle of the night/ stroke sunrise every morning this week just to get enough steam going to facilitate my breathing.

Wimps! This household has been ill on and off for about 4/5 weeks now. Poor dd has borne the brunt of it and looks bloody awful Sad. She has missed over three weeks of school (on and off) and is so bored but exhausted at teh same time.

Green gunge all the rage in this house too!

singersgirl · 22/03/2006 21:51

Sounds like what DS1 has just had - high fever and streaming cold since Saturday, exhausted, still not back at school.

My sympathies. The rest of us are just waiting to get it.

waterfalls · 22/03/2006 21:52

OK, OK,I will see how I am in the morningGrin
Another thing, my lips are so dry and nothing helps, I keep drinking water thinking I must be dehydrated, but thats not helping either, And I am so bunged up I keep waking myself up snoringGrin

Mercy · 22/03/2006 22:00

Should go to bed now then and build up my resources Wink

snafu · 22/03/2006 22:19

Yep, it's gone through us too. I've had three days off with streaming cold, blocked-up head and now satisfyingly rattly, wheezy cough. Mild panic last night as I lay in bed trying to catch my breath and couldn't. Super. Ds also full of snot, burning up and miserable as all hell yesterday. We've done lots of weak-and-feeble lying around on sofas.

Roll on summer.

singersgirl · 23/03/2006 11:35

DS1 has never had 4 days off school before. He looks like a ghost and is producing the hugest quantities of disgusting greeny-yellow snot - I mean industrial quantities - and is leaving a charming trail of screwed up snotty tissues behind him.
