PCOS how to remember to take the pills

My 20yo DD not me, she has been prescribed Metformin about three years ago, but she cannot for love nor money remember to take the pills.

Part of the problem is that they have to be taken with food so if you do forget you can't just take on later.

Any suggestions, please?

If she eats around set times, can she set an alarm on her phone? That was the only way I remembered to take the contraceptive pill!

Think she has tried that but it didn't work for some reason, irregular mealtimes I suspect.
