Perineum not healing properly?

I had my baby nearly 8 weeks ago and I'm not sure I'm healing properly. I had an episiotomy and some bad bruising/tears. It still hurts, and I had a look today and saw 2 lumps the size of small peas in the perineum area.

My doc had a look last week and said it's healing normally but slowly. But I'm not sure I trust her - surely there shouldn't be lumps there?! I don't know what to do next either - I would like to see a gynaecologist but the doctor was pretty impatient to get rid of me last time so I doubt would give me a referral.

Anyone had anything similar?

I still have a little lump from when I tore with DS1 in 2001. My Midwife said its how they stitch you back up- and it stays.
I healed slowly because my stitches were too tight and the skin was growing over them.ewwww
Hope it gets better soon for you !! :)I know how awful it can be
