Rash not disappearing under glass trst

I have developed a rash on my upper inner arm this evening. Spots are not raised but very red. Not disappearing when I do glass test. Should I be concerned? I feel well otherwise (bit of a cold coming on I think but just sneezing at this point). I am pregnant and don't want to take any risks.

Spots are very close to a wasp sting but not surrounding it. Sting is almost a week old though so probably unrelated.

I would be calling a midwife with any rash in pregnancy to be honest.. I had a hormonal rash towards the end but you shoudl get it checked

Please get medical help - not disappearing when you do the glass test is, I believe, a warning sign for various things. I'd call NHS direct, but if you don't get a quick response, would just go straight to A&E.

Non blanching with the glasstest is sign of infection, usually viral. I know you mentioned feeling a bit of a cold coming on, have you any other symptoms? I was "off" for a couple of days before getting a viral rash, when the hospital to discover I had a kidney infection!

I would call to hospital and get checked, just to be on the safe side

I'd be speaking with NHS direct as minimum.. maybe even go over to A&E. Best to get it checked out!

No nhs direct here but have called similar and waiting for doctor to call me back.

Don't panic, they will call you and tell you what to do soon. Do you have a thermometer, might brought useful to know your temperature.

Thermometer in dd's room and I don't want to wake her. Will wait for doc to call back. Am hoping it is nothing and i don't have to get out of bed but can't settle til I hear back.

Have spoken to doctor who said not meningitis as it wouldn't be itchy and I would feel worse. She didn't really offer an explanation as to what it could be but said as it wasn't on torso it was unlikely to be anything to be concerned about. Take anti histamine if necessary and call back if i feel worse.
