Anybody shed any light on my littled lad with his pain on urinating? Hes really scaredand holding on til the last minute. The doctors checked a sample and saidthere is no infection? What could it be? He is recently out of nappies and his recent discovery of his willy has led to lots of fiddling and squashing of said appendage! Could he have damaged something, is this a common problem? Im lost a dont know what to do apart from giving him plenty of fluids and cranberry juice. He is ending up back in nappies coz he is refusing to go in toilet/potty an so weeing on me while cuddling, help please!:(

other then that no help, but lots os symp.
hope he gets better soon.

Did the GP send a sample off to the lab, or did he just do a dip test in the surgery? The dip test doesn't show up all infections, and if I were you I would be insisting that a sample was sent to the lab.

I would certainly get back to the GP as soon as possible, because no child should have to put up with pain like this.

could he have balantis? my ds started having it at that age. Is his penis swollen at all? is his foreskin tight?

I would insist on another urine sample being done too. GP took one last week for ds and said it looked fine but sent it off to the lab anyway. He did have a urine infection but had been without antib's for several days.

docs did test yesterday and it was just done in the surgery, I will defo try and get another sample tho. His willy looks ok to me and the doctor never noticed anything different about it. Thanks for your replies.

Is he constipated? - If so it can aggravate the bladder and make it go into a bit of a spasm whne weeing. My ds still suffers like this even though he's nearly 15.
