am I turning into a harpy or is it my coil?

I woke up this morning and screamed at everyone; I do this from time to time and thought it was just because I was tired. But this time I was out of control and in such a bad mood, I was really nasty to the kids and dh for no reason at all and even made dd cry. I never used to have PMT or anything, but now I've got a ius, a mirena coil, and though I'm not having periods (also bf a 14-month-old) I've felt really menstrual all day with stomach pains and general tiredness. Anyone else had these mad episodes? Or am I just cranking up to menstruate again? (though I really think it would have started by now if I was)...

I've heard lots of stories like this about the mirena

is this the one where it releases the one hormone? if it is i would get it removed and get the one that releases nothing, i had the implannon in my arm that releases the same hormone and i had horrible mood swings, after 6m they eventually took it out, i'm now looking into having a coil fitted that doesn't release any hormones

It definately sounds like it Cappucino. I've had mine removed because it was absolute hell, how my poor DH did not leave me is a miracle. Since the removal I am all sweetness and light again, the problem now is that I am suffering from menopausal symptoms and am now very confused but I feel so much better for getting that horrible coil removed.
