Ridiculously heavy period

I'm on day 2 of my period and I've never experienced this before. In the last two hours I've had to use 4 tampons (super). I'm completely weak. Several huge seeming (6ish cm long, 3cm wide) clots have come out. I feel dizzy.

Five years ago the doctor that did an ECS on me said I had lots of uterine cysts that were harmless. Could this be connected?

Usually my periods are nothing like this - a tampon lasts 4-5hrs.
I'm wondering whether to go to A&E, as am freaking out a bit.
TIA

Oh just seen another thread about this from a couple of days ago.

If it hasn't slowed down, you could go to Boots and ask for some Tranexemic acid. I think it's the same stuff as they would give you at A&E to slow the bleeding.
I take it every month, but it can be a bit hit and msis as to how much it works.
Hope you get sorted soon.

Thanks a lot. It seems to have calmed
down a bit. Reading on the Internet and other
thread I think I have iron deficiency symptoms which increase blood loss apparently.
