Oooowwww! My shoulder!

I had an op on my shoulder 2 years ago - subacromial decompression, debridement, manipulation under GA, plus rotator cuFf repair.

I was gardening on Saturday evening - edging the lawn with the edging thing, hoeing etc, and whilst I was sore on Sunday, by Monday I was in agony.

The front of my shoulder is painful and swollen, all around my collar bone is painful and all round my shoulder blade is painful.

I've tried ice and heat, dosed up on ibuprofen and solpadol 30/500 - nothing is helping.

Could I have damaged it again? Is it worth seeing the GP? What else can I do/try?

I'm sore and miserable :(

i'd self refer to local physio department if i were you.

Thanks - don't think I will be able to self refer here, would have to go to the GP and get a referral.

Everything done 2 years ago should have healed by now. If u had metal implants inserted they may have pulled out but it's doubtful. I would ask for a referral to the Ortho surgeon who did the original op.
