vertigo sufferers

Ive been diagnosed with vertigo and the sickness feeling is just awful! My doctor hasnt prescribed me anything.is there anyone who has it? How do you cope? I feel so dizzy with it and i have a young child.ive heard travel pills are good?

I suffer with it on and off, if its as bad as you say, please go back and ask for anti-sickness pills. They do work. Fighting the dizziness is more difficult though, you do need investigating to find out the cause

When i went she said it was because of an inflamed ear canal and shes give me nothing for it.i feel drunk with the dizzyness and im so clumsy with it! Im worried il fall with my daughter around.il get another appointment and see how it goes

I had this a while ago - it started as labyrinthitis and I now have MAV (migraine associated vertigo). At first it was awful, I couldn'd do anything at all, I couldn't drive and had to stop working.

I am a lot better with it now, although I still suffer it isn't anywhere near as bad as it was.

Your doctor can help you - they can give you tablets to help. I was diagnosed Serc at first when they thought it was related to my ear. Can you ask your GP for them - they will really help. They should also be able to give you something for the sickness if it is making you feel sick.

You should ask for a referral to ENT if it doesn't get easier within a few weeks.

I hope you feel better soon, I know how awful it can be and do sympathise.
