I've got a DS who's now 8 months old. During my pregnancy I ate HUGE amounts of chocolate, but that was okay because I was preggers and it was "a craving need". Then when breastfeeding, it was because I needed to make up those extra calories. Now I'm not anything except getting fat! My thighs and bum wobble and my FIL thinks I'm hiding another baby, he keeps patting my tummy and smiling knowingly at me. I do try to exercise, but I work part-time and do housework fulltime and DS keeps me busy in between. I'd much rather sit around and eat chocolate anyhow. I'm writing because my DH has just found an empty box of chocolates behind the sofa and he's not very happy!

I am eating a kitkat chunky peanut butter whilst reading your thread Grin

Spongebob · 23/03/2006 20:53

I love chocolate so much....that I even eat bit that I find under the coffee table or down the side of the sofa.

MrsSpoon · 23/03/2006 21:02

I replaced the cheap stuff (Dairy Milk etc) with Green & Blacks and find it more satisfying, definately eat less of it, particularly if it is one of the dark choc varieties, Maya Gold in particular, mmmmmmm.

bumbleweed · 23/03/2006 21:37

Green and Blacks ...... mmmmmmm!

But also Galaxy Caramel Eggs at the moment strangely. And those bags of 4 luxury choc chip cookies that you get from the bakery section of tescos and sainsburys.

saadia · 23/03/2006 21:57

Ds has been travelling a lot lately and keeps getting huge bars of Lindt from duty free which the dss and I polish off in about two days.

notasheep · 23/03/2006 22:01

The last lot of duty free stuff i had i kept in the fridge,BIG MISTAKE! Took a huge bite and broke half my tooth off, cost me a fortune!

GDG · 23/03/2006 22:02

I'd be more worried/annoyed at my FIL patting my tummy! He'd get a bloody hard slap!

bubblerock · 23/03/2006 22:03

I hate refridgerated chocolate - I dunked my kitkat chunky in my hot tea so it was all melting and gorgeous Grin

SleepyJess · 25/03/2006 12:44

Oooh Bubblerock I agree.. but I think we are in the minority! Everyone I know puts theirs in the fridge. Bleeurrgh!

rey · 25/03/2006 13:15

girlchick, here I can admit that I am just like you, buying extra and hiding what I've actually consumed. So bad I phoned that eating disorders association and they just advised seeing my GP fat lot of use that is mind you apart from stitching my mouth up what can anyone do apart from me and I am about as useless as they come!

bumbleweed · 26/03/2006 19:45

today I ate an entire box of lindt lindor chocolates which my dd 'bought' me for mothers day - they are so melt-in-the-mouth, but I fear I have sickened myself somewhat!

spursmum · 26/03/2006 19:48

As none of my family remembered me today(ds is only 4) I have taken solace in a lot of chocolate. The diet can wait....till after Easter!!!Grin

mrsgee · 26/03/2006 20:28

chjlly · 26/03/2006 20:30

mrsgee · 26/03/2006 20:38

notasheep · 26/03/2006 21:54

dp gave me a box of Bouja Bouja today for Mothers Day and dd gave her daddy a very large bar of chocolate for his birthday so we are well stocked here

girlchick · 28/03/2006 11:18

For those of you sensitive to health information, turn away now!

My DH (shock, horror, how could he?) pointed out to me last night that ONE chocolate digestive contains 4g of fat. That's after I ate x8 of them, plus a mini-sized flake and a ferrero roche. I did my exercise DVD this morning, but I doubt I burnt off 32g+ of fat!!!!!!!!! No wonder I have a jelly belly!!!!!!!!!!!

Did I kill the thread?

OP posts:
notasheep · 29/03/2006 10:35

NO! I just didnt want to admit that when i eat CHOCOLATE digestive biscuits i sit down and eat a packet OMG how much fat is that?!

Jasnem · 29/03/2006 10:46

Cold turkey is the only way to give it up...I lasted ten yearsShock
But I bought a multipack of mars bars yesterday and ate the last one this morningBlushAlso eat more choc biscuits than one person should be allowed. Is breast feeding a good excuse?

notasheep · 29/03/2006 10:54

Breast Feeding is definately an excuse-I would spend my entire time eating.

I am cold turkey at moment-but not chocolate

mythumbelinas · 29/03/2006 11:17

sniff .. have to admit i love chocolate too. I was at my friend's house the other day sitting at her dining table with my eye on her box of forrero roche. She said 'eat them. I don't like chocs and they will just sit there forever'
I nearly ate them all, left one, or i would've felt really guilty.
Going through toffifee, big bag of choc limes and mini dimes too.

girlchick · 30/03/2006 21:34

I would like everyone to know that I am eating a raspberry and chocolate truffle cake (from a liitle shop in Ilford called The Cheescake Shop), and it is absolutely bloody gorgeous!!!

OP posts:
notasheep · 30/03/2006 23:00
