DD has picked up threadworms and I have spent the day washing all bedding, hoovering and damp dusting as suggested. Now I am beginning to cast paranoid suspiscious glances at toy baskets, sofa covers, curtains etc. Should I give the duplo and trainset a bath? Dolls and teddies? Do I take the steamer to the soft furnishings? Blankets and rugs? I have lost all sense of perspective and am cursing the normally charming nooks and crannies of our home Sad, envisaging a fortnight of scrubbing ahead. What is a reasonable amount of "hygiene measures", in the experience of those of you who don't mind fessing up to having conquered an infestation of this kind?

Honestly? DD2 is a hand-sucker. I am a nurse. I don't even treat the whole family. She gets an ovex, the worms go away.

I know the theory, but in practice, threadworms in my family has only spread once.

Best practice would be to treat the whole family and I would say stop where you have got to. It's threadworms. Annoying, itchy, not the bubonic plague.

Wey-hey! Thank you so much, Lougle, I could not have wished for a better reply! I will put my feet up and admire my handiwork Brew
