any tips appreciated. DS 21 months has develeoped a dry cough over the last three days. It's really been disrupting his (and ours!) sleep. Tried Tixilix last night to limited effect. Am also unsure at what point i shuld make a GP appointment. He doesn't sound that chesty but the cough is becoming more persistent. all words of wisdom gratefully received

a spoonful of manuka honey works wonders. its quite expensive (in comparision to ordinary honey) but worth it.

buy a humidifier (or if you have a steam steriliser/food steamer use this), this has now stopped my dd going into hospital with repeated chest infections.

i was told by the hospital to never give cough medicine as a cough is there for a reason and covering up can make the problem much worse.

if it hasn't cleared by monday i would take him to the doctors.
