Has anyone had a red mole (cherry haemangioma) removed?

I've got loads of red moles on my chest/back which have appeared post-dcs. I would really like to get some of the more prominent ones removed cos they are making me self conscious about wearing strapless things and tops with certain necklines. I know the GP will say its cosmetic and I will have to pay to have it done but I have no idea how, or where to start.

Has anyone had this done who can tell me what it entails and where they got it done?

Apparently it is done with a laser, although naturasil are flogging some treatment that is supposed to get rid of them.

I've had them for years, but the ones that really annoy me are the 3 in a row across my left boob. They are supposedly genetic, but don't know anyone else in the family that had them.

I do the treatment. You zap them with a laser, it should only take one or two treatments to get rid of them. The treatment is not prticularly uncomfortable and very quick.
Look for an aesthetic clinic with a Yag laser or IPL machine.

Thanks - that's really helpful.

Topsi - roughly how much does it cost, and how many can you do at a time. I'm thinking I have about 5 that I really want to get rid of and maybe more eventually. Also - are the clinics generally reputable - I don't want to pick a cowboy outfit! I'm in West London.

I went to a dermatologist and paid privately. I've had a 2-3mm reduced with 5 needle pricks with some kind of electrode. £40 inc 2 gels for aftercare. If it hasn't dissappeared by the 22nd I wiill go back for one more treatment. £30.

It has made a difference to my confidence already.

Ok Lonely , sounds like you had electrolysis on yours which can work as well.
It would depend on the clinic Louey, our list price for vascular treatment is £150 but would take 5 mins to zap 5 cherries so maybe would do a special price. It is not my own clinic by the way and if I tell you where I am this message will be deleted!!
