Thyroid problems

Hi.

I have PND but am having some blood tests taken this Friday to make sure the symptoms I am experiencing aren't related to anemia or thyroid problems post pregnancy.

Can anyone explain what the doctor means by thyroid problems? Yes I should have asked but I feel like I should know.....has anyone else had thyroid problems after having a baby?

Hi, what are your symptoms?

Anemia, hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) has similar symptoms. Heart palpitations, tremor, anxiety, irritabilty, are symptoms of both conditions.

My thyroid problems were diagnosed while ds was a baby apparently it's not uncommon after pregnancy (ds was my third).

notmostpeople what were your symptoms and what problems did it cause?

My symptoms are anxiety, really moody and hormonal, fatigue (although could just be from being a new mum) and breathlessness.

DD is 18 weeks old now.
