My baby's cheeks are very chapped - any tips?

My 11 month old ds is teething and has a constant cold. His cheeks are very dry and chapped and nothing I have tried so far (baby lotion from Green Baby/ E45 lotion) has helped. Should I use E45 cream? or can anyone recommend anything else? Thanks!

I use epaderm and alveno on he chap. He is prone to eczema. but I think you should look for a barrier cream with moisturiser in it like epaderm.

My DD (also 11 months) gets very dry red cheeks when she is teething - I've just started using Avent Magic Cream morning and night and that seems to help. I also put a layer of Vaseline on before we go outside to act as a barrier.

Have you tried sudacream? (sp)

pure aloe vera gel is great.

My DD was born with chapped, red cheeks and nearly 3 years later she still suffers with them, particularly in cold weather.
The best thing we found was emulsifying ointment, available from the chemist quite cheaply in large tubs.
It's greasy (and we used to refer to it as Goose Fat) but it works a treat.
Good luck!

Sudocrem user here too. Dd gets dried patches on her face, has done for years and sudocrem works a treat.

Another vote for vaseline

Aveeno's very good. I smear it all over both my two, face and body and it keeps dry skin and eczema under control.

Vote for vaseline when at home but looks to greasy when we go out, so i use Avent magic cream, and since I've tried this combi ds' cheeks never dry!
