Is this a UTI?

I've had a niggling lower back pain for 2-3 days which I've put down to Sleeping funny but over the course of today it's just been getting worse.

I've started feeling achey in my hips and legs and generally feel a bit crappy tbh. A bit hot at times.

My stomach has started to hurt this afternoon. A bit crampy low down.

Could it be a UTI without the classic needing to pee/pain when peeing symptoms?

I called for an appointment but can't be seen until Tuesday morning though. It wouldn't be very easy for me to get to OOH as I'm home alone with DS and don't drive.

It is possible to have a UTI without the needing to pee/pain when peeing symptoms. I had one a few years ago which started with just feeling a bit tired and shaky after mild exercise (such as walking) I put it down to the fact DS3 was only a couple of months old and lack of sleep. Then i started getting very cold and lethargic. Then started getting a temperature, feeling very dehydrated, dizzy spells. Then vomitting and diarrhea. The one symptom I never got was the pain! If you don't feel better tomorrow I really would try and get to OOH. I delayed going to see a doctor until after a weekend, as i was sure I just had a tummy bug. By the time Monday came I had never felt so ill in my life.
The good news? I started to feel better within an hour of starting anti-biotics and was completly recovered within 2-3 days!

If you have lower back pain and are feeling hot, it sounds like it may have spread to your kidneys, in which case you could do with antibiotics, stat! (Sorry, not what you want to hear on a Friday night, I know.) Is there any chance the OOH could come to you?

I get no pain when peeing although I used to when I was younger. If left unchecked you can feel really ill. In saying that, I can also feel exactly like this especially the leg thing just before a heavy period.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm going to try for an appointment today.

Feeling much worse this morning. Still no pain with peeing but my back hurts and I'm feeling pretty shivery and rubbish.

Thanks though.

at my practice if they have no appts free with the Dr they will ask you to take a sample in and they get the nurse to dip it inbetween her patients. Try to get to see your dr but if you can't then see if this is an option.
