Any dental nurses or dentists around?? Help, just broken a tooth.

Have had some root canal done on a tooth, not completed as I had tonsilitis the week I was due to go back and then went on holiday. There was a temp filling in it but the edges of the tooth stood proud of that. Just bitten down on a pizza hut and now a quater of my tooth is cracked and just hanging in by the root, bugger!!! No pain at the moment, prob because I just paid a fortune to have the root canal done! I can only get an appointment on Sat afternoon, does anyone know if this tooth sounds saveable and what the dentist may suggest/do as emergency treatment. Thanks :)

Bah I bit down on a pizza crust not pizza hut!!!

Not a dental nurse, but exactly the same thing happened to me last week, even did it eating pizza! I'd just finished having a root canal a few days earlier. The whole side was missing and my dentist managed to build it back up, good as new. Hopefully yours will be the same :)

Thanks so much mywonerbra, I was getting worried that I would loose my tooth and that made me feel old!!!
